Message to Coach:

Softball has taught me so much about life. It has taught me how to set goals, work hard, push through hard times, and overcome loss and take failure and turn it into something worth fighting through. I lost my dad when I was 7 years old and I think without softball, I wouldn’t be where I am today. My coaches are my mentors. I learned who I am, what I am made of, and just how strong I can be. I learned how to change and adapt. I learned how to lose and respectfully win. I learned how to push myself, encourage others, be a role model, and leader. Softball for me is a way of life. It is a sport that will be a part of my life now, through college and after. What I’ve learned on the field helps me be a good student and a good person. College is important. It’s the place you get to be on your own for the first time. I work hard at school so I can work hard at Softball and because I know hard work pays off. Where I go to school and who I play for will make a big difference in who I am when I graduate and what I will be able to do in the future. I want to go to a school where you are expected to be independent and think for yourself. A school with good values and traditions. I want to be challenged. I want to play for a team that believes in itself, where players trust each other and respect their coach. I take commitment seriously. I look forward to learning, improving, and growing each year, in the game and in life. – Corinne Harrold
